Pawhuska’s 2011 “Christmas Parade of Lights”

Calling all churches, organizations, clubs, ranches, businesses, and individuals! There is still time to submit your entry form for the Christmas Parade. Please return your completed parade entry form as soon as possible and remember to accurately and legibly fill out the Description/Bio section of the form as the information you provide is what will be used by the announcer to describe your float during the parade.

Our sole sponsor for this year’s Parade of Lights is the Osage Casino. We would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You for supporting the parade and the community.   

The Pawhuska Bible Church won the Traveling Trophy last year in the nonprofit category. The Bronze Horse won the for profit category last year. 

This year’s Parade marshals will be Charlie and Shirley Wadsworth driven by James Hager. Charlie and Shirley have been a part of our community for many years through the local grocery store and are proud to participate in this year’s parade.  

The parade will begin at 6:00 in the evening on December 3rd.  This year Pacific is recording a television program for the American Food Network during our “Parade of Lights. By being present along the parade route while recording is taking place you consent to being filmed and recorded, and to appearing in the program or programs.  Please notify the film crew if you do not want to be filmed. 

As a Thank You for a great year, the Constantine and with a special sponsorship by the Helmer Oil Corporation says Merry Christmas with a FREE showing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” starring Jim Carrey. Show time begins at 7:30 shortly after the parade. Come and get your picture taken with the Grinch who will be stopping by for a special appearance. 

The Senior Center will be offering stew and chili from 5 to 9 for $5.00.  Desserts and hot beverages will also be available. The Center is located at 200 Palmer (behind City Hall). 

You can attend the Christmas Parade and also have time to catch the Bedlam Battle at 7:00.
